So, it seems the full respec mods for Wrath currently have some problems, and it seems the game isn’t trivial to mod to allow full respec.
I wonder if it’s easier to approach the problem from the other direction, and make a mod that allows you to assign banter, conversation, etc from a companion onto a Merc? Or even companion quests?
There’s a toybox option to allow nonpresent party members to offer banter, but that seems to have a few caveats as well…
